126th IOC Session © IOC While the big story for DanceSport is still two days away, when it will feature in the Olympic Opening Ceremony on Friday 7 February (16:00 UTC/GMT), today's news coming out of Sochi were very positive already.

The 126th IOC Session kicked off today in Sochi with the full IOC membership involved in lively discussions on ideas that will eventually form a strategic roadmap for the future of the Olympic Movement, the so-called Olympic Agenda 2020.

What is most positive for DanceSport as well as other sports aspiring to be part of future Games is a line of text about IOC's intention to "introduce flexibility in the Olympic programme to balance tradition and modernity while containing costs."
