Or to the people who made it an event!

An attempt to google the names of the three-time World Champions together with other relevant keywords under NEWS in Italian draws a total blank. The photograph on the left: a figment of imagination!

But why should the Gazetta dello Sport - actually Italy's most read newspaper - not report on two exceptional (and highly mediagenic) athletes turning legends? It would require some leg work on someone's part for it to happen.

That it can be done is demonstrated elsewhere. English World Latin participants Chantal Green and Andrea Borrelli got their write-up in the papers!
