Not In Paris

Je suis Paris The 2016 European Latin WILL NOT be held in Paris. Noune Marty, the President of the Fédération Française de Danse, notified WDSF of the decision taken by her Presidium to renounce from hosting the championship this spring.

As a consequence of the terrorist attacks on 13 November 2015 and earlier this month, the current climate in the French capital does not allow the organisers to "preserve the moral comfort of athletes and officials." Furthermore, enhanced security measures that are required by the national government make the organisation of a high-profile international event financially unviable.

A new host for the 2016 European Latin is currently being sought by the WDSF Sports Director.
